Intellectual gifted, unique and imaginative are just a few words that can best describes me, Keshana Leandra Georges. I was born on the beautiful island of St. Thomas US Virgin Islands on November 25, 1993. My home circle consist of my wonderful and loving mother Ms. Kishma Wilkins and my two beautiful younger sisters Neilia and Nelisha Barry.

In my leisure time,  I enjoy spending my time writing poetry, photography and encouraging my peers on what difference we can make in our community through positive spoken words. With this, I was awarded the opportunity to represent the US Virgin Islands at the 2008 Poetry Contest held in New York where I was one of the top finalist. 

Currently, I am a Junior at the Ivanna Eudora Kean High School on St. Thomas where I am a 3rd year Honor Roll student. I am also a member 2010/11 Year book editorial committee, member of the Devil Rays Cheerleading team and a member to the girl softball team. Upon gradating, my future plan is to continue my educational journey at the University of the Virgin Islands in pursuit of my degree in Computer Technology.

A quote of Albert Einstein, who states, “All that is valuable in human society depends upon the opportunity for development accorded to the individual. I believe that we should not under estimate our capabilities and strong feelings, but we should play a more active role in promoting a better nation.”

In life, everyone has their ups and downs, accomplishments and disappointments,  I challenge my obstacles and make the best of them.  As Miss Teen British Virgins Islands, my platform will be Youth Empowerment through Positive Words.  I intend to arrange a weekend youth center where I can get together to help other teenagers see what a difference we can make with spoken words.  I also plan to visit elementary schools where I would read short stories and poetry our younger students.

Ladies and Gentlemen, Let’s celebrate our diverse heritage through pageantry; A fusion of intelligence, culture and talent. I am your contestant, Keshana Leandra Georges vying for the title of Miss Teen British Virgin  Islands.
